Given the success of its past editions, RadioInCorso, the official radio of the University of Trieste, introduces this year the fifth edition of “Taglia Corti”, the international contest of short films and music videos whose goal in the past five years has been to promote music and cinema, by giving attention and occasions of confrontation to young emerging talents coming both from Italy and abroad.
This year’s theme is again Vitamin Cinema, conceived as an orange squeezed just like the creativity of all the competing talents. The contest is open to all wannabe directors under the age of 35, who can present a work up to ten minutes long without limits of genre and theme. The three sections of the contest remain unchanged: “Professionale” (Professionals) for high-level works realized with professional technical means and focusing both on the central idea and on the technique. The final prize will consist of € 450,00.
“Esordienti” (Young and first-time directors) for amateur works realized by students or beginners with basic technical means and focusing mainly on the central idea. Their final prize will consist of € 500,00. Lastly, “Videoclip musicali” (Music videos) for bands or individual singers who realized a music video of any genre, with any budget. The prize for this section will consist of € 550,00.
The final night will be on Thursday 27th May 2014 at 8.30 p.m. at the “Miela” Theater in Trieste. It will be organized as a show during which the finalist short movies will be projected and awarded, but music and performances will also play a central role.
